Janbhagidari events held in EKH PM SHRI Schools

SHILLONG, July 28: Various Janbhagidari programmes were organised by the office of the District Mission Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, SSA, East Khasi Hills in 11 PM SHRI Schools in the district on July 27 and 28, a statement issued here informed. On the first day, a teachers-parents meeting was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Shillong; quiz competition at Nongmensong Durbar SSA LP School; at Pynursla the event was held at Raid Shabong Border Area Government Secondary School where arts and crafts made by the students were displayed; and at Mylliem, the event was held at Sanmer Government LP School where a teachers’ workshop was organised.
The second day started with a cleanliness drive at Sunshine Adventist SSA LP School, Laitdiengsai Presbyterian SSA LP School under Mawryngkneng C&RD Block; at Kynton Massar SSA LP School under Mawlai C&RD Block and at Umpohlieh Jingtip SSA LP School under Sohiong C&RD Block. A quiz competition was held at Ramakrishna Mission SSA LP School-Nongwar under Shella-Bholaganj C&RD Block and at Mawser Presbyterian SSA LP School under Mawphlang C&RD Block.
The aim of the events is to raise awareness among the public about the PM SHRI Schools initiatives which are important for holistic and well- rounded individuals equipped with key 21st century skills, the statement said.
