Official sends missive urging Power min to act on electrocution cases

SHILLONG, July 28: The chairman of the Meghalaya State Health Advisory Board Mayralborn Syiem on Friday wrote to Power Minister A T Mondal to take steps and address the issues of electrocution of people across the state.
Referring to the recent incident at Umden Umshaken road where a person died on the spot when his motorbike came into contact with a damaged electric wire lying loose on the PWD road, Syiem asked minister’s immediate attention to address this issues which is happening every now and then in other part of the state also.
He also asked the Minister to expedite ways and means for the speedy release of compensation to the believed family members of the victim.
