No land record of WGH SP, DC offices, residences

TURA, July 31: In a sensational discovery made through an RTI filed by GHADC member from Tura, Bernard Marak, the offices and residences of the SP and DC of West Garo Hills were found to be without legal documents.
According to the RTI submitted by the ADC (Revenue) of West Garo Hills, no land records were available for either the office or the residences of the SP and DC though trace maps of the area where these offices lie were enclosed. The areas however had ‘dag’ numbers – which as per Bernard were not official settlement records.
