18-wheeler stuck on narrow road in city

SHILLONG, Aug 5: In a freaky incident, an 18-wheeler truck loaded with more than 18 MTs of consignment got stuck on a narrow road at New Colony, here disrupting movements on the entire stretch on Saturday morning.
According to residents of the locality, the massive vehicle carrying solar panels strapped with fasteners entered the 12 ft and steep road with blind turnings at around 6 am and ended up closing the road even for pedestrians.
The consignment is of Dhar constructions and was supposed to be delivered to JN stadium.
Till the filing of this report, the vehicle is still stuck on the narrow road while the consignment is being unloaded.
