Shillong, August 9: Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Congress leader in the Lok Sabha, has confirmed that Rahul Gandhi will participate in the ongoing discussion concerning the no-confidence motion. Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to deliver his speech on Wednesday.

Chowdhury conveyed, “Rahul Gandhi will speak today. He will commence our presentation at 12 noon.”

As per IANS, the unexpected absence of Gandhi from Tuesday’s discussion on the no-confidence motion had taken many by surprise. His decision to abstain from participating in the debate had left both his party members and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) puzzled.

Initiating the discourse on the no-confidence motion had fallen to Gaurav Gogoi.

Meanwhile, in a pointed critique directed at the BJP, Chowdhury has asserted that there appears to be a palpable unease surrounding Rahul Gandhi. He remarked, “Their singular focus is evident. They don’t prioritize the nation, societal welfare, or even issues pertinent to Manipur. Their sole occupation seems to be launching unwarranted attacks on Rahul Gandhi and his family. Their capabilities appear to be confined to this pursuit. The level of apprehension exhibited by Modi, his government, and associates towards Rahul Gandhi is indeed baffling.”

Rahul Gandhi’s imminent address is anticipated to infuse a new dimension into the ongoing discussions, shedding light on the intricacies of the no-confidence motion and fueling further deliberations on this critical matter
