Guv becomes chief patron of M’laya BSG

SHILLONG, Aug 10: Governor Phagu Chauhan was officially inducted as the chief patron of Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides in a glimmering ceremony at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday.
The Governor’s induction as the chief patron is a significant milestone for Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides and the organisation is confident that with his extensive experience and leadership, the Governor will provide guidance and support to the organisation in its endeavours to empower and mentor the youth of the state.
The official induction of the Governor was conducted by the State Training Commissioner, Aidor Ryngksai, LT(S), in what may be termed as a symbol of transfer of responsibility and trust.
The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides is a well-known organisation that aims to instil values, discipline and leadership qualities among the youth through various scouting and guiding activities.
