BSF foils medicine smuggling bid

TURA, Aug 11: Foiling another cross border smuggling attempt by miscreants, the BSF in South Garo Hills on Friday recovered and seized medicines worth over Rs 3 lakhs, which were meant to be smuggled out to neighbouring Bangladesh.
According to the BSF, troops of the 181 Bn, Meghalaya Frontier Border Security Force while acting on reliable information conducted an operation along the border which led to the seizure of the illegal medicines including Grifols injections, Amcorol tablets, Enterogermina injections et al. The seized medicines have been handed over to the customs officials for further action.
