Shillong, Aug 11: Under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign launched as part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ last year, the under secretary, General Administration Department (B) has urged the people to hoist the tricolour at their homes with the same zeal and patriotism this year also from August 13-15, a statement issued here informed.
The people are also encouraged to put a selfie with the Tiranga on www.harghartiranga.com.
It may be mentioned that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a flagship initiative of the Government of India, was launched to encourage the citizens to hoist the national flag in their homes.
The idea behind the campaign is to instill the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and reminisce the journey of India and those who have contributed towards creating this great nation.
