120 Bn CRPF honours martyrs

Tura, Aug 12: As part of the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence, the 120 Battalion of the CRPF organised ‘Meri Maati, MeraDesh’ campaign to honour the martyrs of the battalion. The campaign was the final leg of the Mahotsav.
The occasion witnessed a series of commemorative functions inside the unit headquarters at Dakopgre, Tura that started off by paying floral tributes to the brave hearts of Garo Hills who made supreme sacrifice for the country.
CRPF martyrs from Garo Hills, Constable Utpal Rabha of the 209 COBRA commandos and Sugandha Koch of 87 BN CRPF were remembered and floral tributes paid.
Further veer naris, families of CRPF martyrs and retired CRPF personnel were felicitated by chief guest Pramod Kumar Singh (Commandant of the battalion).
