Shillong, August 14: During an airshow in Michigan, USA, a fighter jet crash occurred after two individuals safely ejected from the aircraft. The incident took place shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday near Willow Run Airport.

The occupants parachuted from the MiG-23 fighter jet and landed in Belleville Lake, avoiding significant injuries.

Both were taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures. The jet subsequently crashed in a nearby apartment complex’s parking lot, striking unoccupied vehicles. No injuries were reported to the residents, CNN reported.

Thunder Over Michigan, the event’s organizers, announced the show’s suspension without elaborating on the incident.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board will conduct an investigation into the crash.
