As per news agency PTI, rescue operations are underway to save the injured and recover bodies from collapsed houses. The weather forecast predicts further heavy rainfall in the affected regions.

The death count in rain-battered Himachal Pradesh has risen to 71, with more bodies being discovered. In total, 214 individuals have lost their lives due to rain-related incidents in the state since the monsoon’s onset on June 24.
