Shillong, Aug 16: The Voice of the People Party (VPP) on Thursday petitioned to Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma to expedite the constitution of the expert committee to review the state job reservation policy.

In the petition to the CM, VPP general secretary, Ricky AJ Syngkon reminded that in the last meeting held on July 13 they were informed that the state government was almost ready to come with the notification regarding the constitution of the expert committee.

“It was only with regard to the identification of the chairman of the committee that was remaining pending which as per your words could be implemented in a matter of two to three weeks. It has been one month since then and we expect that the government will strive to fulfill the commitment to constitute the committee as soon as possible,” Syngkon added.
