JOWAI, Aug 18: Around 18 labourers residing in Moodop village in West Jaintia Hills who were engaged in construction work with Dhar Company were on Friday sent back due to improper documents.
The Hyniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) Nartiang Circle along with Jaintia People Welfare Organisation (JPWO) pushed back the labourers alleging that they did not have any valid documents.
The NGOs alleged that the labourers were granted permit to work at the construction of Mawlyndep road, East Khasi Hills but somehow they misused the permit which in turn affected the revenue collection of the JHADC.
