Suspected double suicide-murder claims lives of Indian family of 3 in Maryland home

Shillong, August 20: An Indian family of three, consisting of 37-year-old Yogesh H Nagarajappa, his wife Prathiba Y Amarnath, also 37, and their six-year-old child Yash Honnal, was discovered dead in their Towson home in the US state of Maryland.

As per the Baltimore Sun reported that the police suspect Yogesh killed his wife and child before taking his own life.

Baltimore County Police spokesperson Anthony Shelton stated that the initial investigation suggests a double murder-suicide by Yogesh H Nagarajappa.

All three victims appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds. The authorities were alerted by friends of the family who conducted an “urgent welfare check.”

Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr expressed his condolences and pledged support for the affected family and community. The homicide unit is actively investigating the case, with autopsy results expected to shed light on the manner and cause of death. The family was last seen alive on Tuesday evening.
