Consultation meeting held in Ampati to promote Ease of Living through education

Ampati, August 21: The Office of the District School Education Officer organized a significant consultation meeting aimed at enhancing the quality of education and promoting ease of living for the students of South West Garo Hills. The event took place on Monday at the Multi Facility Centre in Ampati. The focus of the meeting was to bring together various stakeholders to analyze the district’s current educational landscape, identify challenges, and devise strategies for improvement.
Distinguished attendees included Deputy Commissioner RP Marak, along with Additional Deputy Commissioners, heads of institutions across the district. The consultation meeting proved to be an interactive platform for open discussions and knowledge sharing.
The key points on the agenda encompassed a thorough analysis of the existing educational scenario, pinpointing challenges and areas in need of enhancement. Strategies for promoting quality education, inclusivity, and digital literacy were also discussed. The participants actively discussed recommendations for effective resource allocation and utilization. Furthermore, community engagement, parental involvement, and sharing of successful practices were prominent topics of conversation.
This significant meeting, themed “Promotion of Ease of Living through Good Governance and the use of Technology in Schooling,” was organized at the behest of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Its deliberations will greatly contribute to the upcoming Chief Secretary Conference, a pivotal event for both district and state-level education systems. The insights and input shared during the conference hold the potential to substantially enhance the educational framework of the state.
In his address, Deputy Commissioner RP Marak emphasized the importance of creating a conducive ambience for both teachers and students. He underscored the necessity for collaborative support from all stakeholders to achieve meaningful improvements in the education sector.
The consultation meeting witnessed active participation and engagement from all present. Some of the concerns brought to the forefront included student irregularities, inadequate water facilities within school premises, deficiencies in basic infrastructure,  non involvement of parents in students’ education and the absence of libraries, among other issues.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with a collective commitment to address the highlighted challenges and work towards a better educational environment. This initiative reaffirms the commitment of the District School Education Officer to prioritize the well-being and educational experience of the students of South West Garo Hills.
