Nongstoin College students shine NEHU degree exams

Nongstoin, August 22: Nongstoin College now has become one of the finest institutions in West Khasi Hills and especially for producing good results, once again the students of college have shone in the Arts and Science stream examinations conducted by North Eastern Hills University (NEHU), Shillong.

Last year, the college students bagged four in the top 10 provisional merit list of B. Sc (Zoology) and college students Ibajanai Lyngdoh and Khosphulan Lyngkhoi from the same department bagged 4th position and 7th position respectively iin B. Sc (zoology) in the provisional merit list which was declared recently by NEHU.

In B.Sc  (Chemistry) examination,  Pynshaitbor Thongni bagged the 12 position of the provisional merit list, while in Art stream Pynishisha Wanniang bagged the 10th position in the provisional merit list result declared by NEHU.

Nongstoin College is one of the premiere institutions catering to the rural youths, and underprivileged students in the region of West Khasi Hills District as a whole and also, it’s adjacent districts since its inception in 1978.

The college has at present become one of the finest institutions at par with other educational institutions in the state. This esteemed institution boasts of its own Arts, Science and Commerce streams which has extensive and momentous implications for the College and the community as well.
