Rain provides relief to NCR and Delhi residents

Shillong, August 23: Residents of the National Capital Region (NCR) and Delhi welcomed a fresh bout of moderate rain on Wednesday, offering respite from the prevailing humid conditions. The precipitation, ranging from light to moderate, led to instances of water-logging in certain areas.

As per IANS, the weather forecast indicates that the day will continue to see intermittent light to moderate showers. The Regional Weather Forecasting Centre has also highlighted the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds, ranging from 30 to 50 km per hour.

The morning witnessed a minimum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius, which is three notches above the normal range. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature is expected to reach around 37 degrees Celsius.

While no traffic advisory was issued, the traffic police informed commuters that due to carcade rehearsals and special traffic arrangements, some congestion is anticipated on various routes including Salimgarh Bypass, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Bhairon Marg, Mathura Road, C-Hexagon, Sardar Patel Marg, and Gurgaon Road until 11 am. Commuters were urged to plan their travel accordingly.
