Cabinet approves 3 medical colleges in Meghalaya

Shillong, August 25: Meghalaya Cabinet today approved three medical colleges in the state. Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh said that the Government would leverage existing infrastructure like Civil Hospital and Ganesh Das besides leveraging human resource for Shillong Medical College.

In addition, Tura Medical college was also approved by the Government and Government would enter into private partnership to run the Tura Medical College.

The third medical college will be constructed in USTM, RI Bhoi where the University would offer some free seats to students of Meghalaya.
