Shillong, August 27: An incident occurred in Assam’s Silchar as the lifeless body of a 10-year-old child was discovered at the home of BJP MP Rajdeep Roy.

The police revealed that the body was found with a cloth wrapped around the neck, and this grim discovery has raised numerous questions.

As per India Today, the child’s mother had been working as a domestic helper in the residence of the BJP leader for two-and-a-half years. Originally from the Dholai area, she was employed in Roy’s house, highlighting a tragic connection.

Rajdeep Roy received an alarming call about an “emergency” at his residence. He quickly returned to find a young boy’s life hanging in the balance. Rushing him to the hospital, the doctors sadly declared the child dead upon arrival.

The police took immediate action, sending the body to Silchar Medical College for post-mortem examination. This step aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.

MP Roy shared details about the family living in his residence. The boy and his sister were studying in Class 5 and Class 8, respectively. Tragically, it was later revealed that the young boy had reportedly taken his own life by hanging. The police were notified, and an investigation commenced.

Rajdeep Roy engaged with the authorities and expressed his commitment to a thorough police investigation according to established protocols. He also highlighted his role in enrolling the boy in school and described him as a well-behaved child.

As the family left the building, the boy requested his mother’s phone. This ordinary moment before the tragedy unfolded emphasizes the unforeseen nature of such distressing incidents.
