Workshop
The Post Graduate Department of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Sankardev College organised a two-day state level workshop on ‘Teaching Communicative English in line with NEP 2020’, which concluded on Friday. It focused on key areas of the new curriculum in Communicative English. The resource persons were Adnan Khan, former faculty, Chiang Mai University, Thailand, and guest faculty Guangxi University, China, and Prof TK Bamon, Vice Chancellor, Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong. Altogether, teachers from 20 colleges participated in the workshop which was inaugurated by Dr Eureka FP Lyngdoh, Principal of Sankardev College.
Postponement
The general body meeting-cum-election of Gorkha Association scheduled for September 3 has been postponed till further notice, the general secretary of the Gorkha Association Shillong said.
