MoS hands appointment letters at Rozgar Mela

SHILLONG, Aug 28: Union Minister of State for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma joined the Rozgar Mela at Headquarters of Directorate General of Assam Rifles, Laitkor, wherein he distributed appointment letters to the new recruits following the Prime Minister’s address.
As many as 218 numbers of recruits received their appointment letters at the 8th edition of Rozgar Mela held in Shillong on Monday.
The Union MoS, while expressing his delight at the Rozgar Mela, said that the process is on for providing 10 lakh government jobs to youths in different ministries and departments of the central government.
He opined that this effort will enable youths from different parts of the country to appear in the examinations which are being conducted in 13 local languages in place of English or Hindi as was the case earlier.
Highlighting that the Rozgar Mela is a significant addition to the various initiatives of the central government, Union MoS Singh said that with the addition of more than 51,000 appointments on Monday, around 5 lakh youths have been provided appointment letters during the eight Rozgar Melas organised so far.
The Union minister appealed to the newly recruits to ensure the welfare and service of their countrymen.
Expressing her happiness, Baiahunlang Syngkli, one of the new BSF recruits, said, “I am very happy and the glory goes to God. I am happy for getting this job because I have been working hard from the beginning.”
Another recruit from Meghalaya, Parbati Hajong thanked the Prime Minister for the opportunity to join the CAPF and providing the appointment letters on the spot.
