TMC to contest both Lok Sabha seats in Meghalaya: Charles Pyngrope

Shillong, August 30: The Opposition TMC on Wednesday announced that they would contest both the Lok Sabha seats in the state.

Informing this State TMC, Chief Charles Pyngrope said that they were yet to get a go-ahead from the high command on the candidates, however, in his personal view TMC vice president George B Lyngdoh is the probable candidate for Shillong seat and he leaves it upto the parliamentary party leader Dr Mukul Sangma to decide on the candidate for Tura Lok Sabha seat.

He also informed that he had asked for a meeting with the high command on this and in the coming days either he will go to Kolkata for the discussion or they will come to Shillong to finalise it.
