JOWAI, Aug 31: The Jaintia Students’ Movement (JSM) and the Karbi Students’ Association (KSA) have set up the Students’ Committee For Peace Initiative (SCFPI) to ensure harmony and mutual understanding between the Khasi-Pnar and Karbi people living along the interstate border areas.
The decision was taken during a peace meet held in Diphu, Karbi Anglong, on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by JSM president Leningstar Rymbai and KSA president Mirjeng Kro.
The KSA said its members will visit Jaintia Hills a part of a peace initiative.
