Shillong, Sept 1: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today organised the U Tirot Sing Best Students Award 2023 in Shillong.
Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal who participated in the event congratulate the students and urged them to work hard and excel in their lives.
Recalling the sacrifice made by freedom fighter U Tirot Sing, Sonowal paid his rich tributes to the legendary Khasi freedom fighter.He also said that education is an important tool for empowering of the youths and the country.
Cabinet Minister AL Hek who was also present on the occasion lauded the ABVP for organising the event.
