SHILLONG, Sep 1: The NEHU Teachers’ Association on Friday questioned the rationale behind the university’s rush to implement the National Education Policy 2020 at the undergraduate level.
Claiming that NEHU is not prepared to implement NEP in totality, NEHUTA said the Academic Council has not held any discussion on model question papers not finalised the syllabus of all subjects from 3rd to 8th semester
“Without these mandatory procedures, NEP at UG in affiliated colleges will become null and void and spoil the careers of the first semester students,” it said.
NEHUTA also said that it will send a detailed report on violations of NEHU Act, Statutes and Ordinances by the VC to concerned higher authorities.
It also decided to boycott all future Academic Council meetings.
