Nongpoh faces severe power cuts, disruptions in mobile network

Nongpoh, Sep 5: Residents of Nongpoh, who have been grappling with persistent electricity shutdowns, found a glimmer of relief as power has been recently restored.
However, the district remains in a state of frustration and disarray as the Jio network continues to experience a two-day-long disruption.
Nongpoh, often referred to as the gateway to the state, has been plagued by recurrent power cuts, with recent days witnessing consecutive outages. The frustration stemming from this prolonged vexed issue was already at an all-time high when an unexpected blow hit the district – the Jio Network, a lifeline for many, was down for two consecutive days.
The disruption of the Jio Network, coinciding with the already dire power crisis, has created severe problems for the residents related to communication and connectivity disruptions. Communication has become challenging and many residents are unable to access essential services due to the non-availability of mobile network coverage.
The combination of these issues has further highlighted the divide between those with resources and those without. While some residents who can afford alternative power sources and mobile networks, are relatively less impacted.
As the situation unfolds, the residents of Nongpoh remain hopeful for a swift resolution to the network disruptions. They urge the concerned authorities of Jio Network to immediately address the issue and restore the network.
