The 220KV double circuit Mawngap-New Shillong transmission line will be energised in the forthcoming days. In view of this, it has cautioned the public against going near or climbing the towers or even carry tall objects near the line to avoid any accident. According to a statement, this high-tension line passes through the village of Mawphlang and will go via Mawngap Kharshiing, Mawngap Lumparing, Kharnongwah, Mawreng, 12mer BC Umlympung, Laitkroh Nongthymmai, Laitlyngkot, Maweitnai, Mawtyllup, Madan Lyngdoh, Jalynteng, Nongkyndong, Nongkrem Rngikseh, Iewpomthiah, Nongkrem Kharbuli, Ur Masi u Joh, lamlyer, Umphyrnai, Mawlyngngad, Mawshabuit, Sohryngkham, Mawpdang, Mawkynring and Madan Saiseij.
Lok Adalat
The National Lok Adalat will be organised on all types of cases at the office of the District and Sessions Court, Ri-Bhoi, on September 9. All parties concerned can participate in the upcoming adalat, either physically or virtually, the Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Ri-Bhoi, said.
