Felicitation
The Shillong Socio-Cultural Assamese Students’ Association will felicitate meritorious Assamese students studying in Shillong on October 1 during Freshers’ Meet 23. The association, in a statement, asked the students of CBSE, MBoSE and ICSE, who have secured 85 per cent and above in Class X, 80 per cent and above in Class XII, and secured a position in graduation and post-graduation courses to submit their names and mark sheets by September 20 to the contact numbers 7064341275 or 9089673975.
Programme
As part of the observance of World Suicide Prevention Day, SAN- KER, Shillong, in collaboration with residents of East Jaintia Hills will organise different programmes on September 9. A cycle rally from Don Bosco College, Byndihati, till Good Shepherd Secondary School, Lad Rymbai, and back to Don Bosco College, Byndihati, will start at 7 am. At 10 pm, a public discussion on ‘Suicide Prevention’ will be held at Don Bosco College, Byndihati.
