68-year-old Ratan Dhar from Meghalaya runs 21 km in Ladakh Marathon

Shillong, Sept 11: Meghalaya resident Ratan Dhar was felicitated by villagers of Ladakh  yesterday as soon as they came to know that he at the age of 68 years, ran 21kms in Ladakh marathon and completed the same in 2hours 35 minutes.

The villagers overwhelmed by his feat, called him and honoured him with a silk shawl and a bouquet. All the people including children were inspired to see that a person at the of 68 years running 21km at the high altitude of 11000 ft.

Ratan Dhar has done something unique to be cheered by the people of Meghalaya in general and the runners in particular. He has, obviously, brought laurels to the state.
