ADG BSF reviews border security in Guwahati Frontier area

Guwahati, Sept 12: Additional director general (ADG), Border Security Force (Eastern Command) Sonali Mishra during her visit to the area of BSF, Guwahati Frontier, reviewed the prevailing security scenario along the India-Bangladesh border.

The ADG was briefed by Dinesh Kumar Yadav, IG, BSF Guwahati Frontier and staff officers about operational preparedness and measures to combat various challenges along the India-Bangladesh border and to control trans-border crimes, an official statement issued here on Tuesday said.

The ADG also visited the border outposts (BOPs) on the India-Bangladesh border in Coochbehar district of Bengal and interacted with the field commanders, took stock of security scenario, reviewed the border domination plan and operational preparedness in order to make the India-Bangladesh border crime free.

Mishra interacted with the border personnel performing duty on ground to evaluate the domination on the international border.

The ADG applauded the efforts and dedication of the border personnel in safeguarding the borders and efforts made by BSF Guwahati Frontier to control crimes along the border.

She also praised the BSF troops for effective and efficient guarding of the international border.
