SHILLONG, Sep 12: Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem, a member of the Ri Bhoi Regional Committee on Tuesday said that the spot inspection of certain disputed areas along the interstate border will be conducted after the five-day autumn session of the Assembly.
He stated that the inspection had to be postponed due to the unavailability of Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, who is the Chairman of the regional border committee.
Pointing out that the Committee is holding talks based on the documents and discussions between Assam and Meghalaya in 2011; Syiem stated that the Committee is keen to submit the report to the Chief Ministers of both the states at the earliest.
