QCI mobile app launched to connect grassroots leaders

Guwahati, Sept 13: A mobile application app of Quality Council of India (QCI) was launched here with the aim of connecting grassroots leaders from Assam with those from the country.

Unveiling the mobile app – ‘Sarpanch Samvaad’ – at Raj Bhavan here, Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria lauded the initiative which has emerged as a holistic platform for networking, knowledge dissemination and collaboration, while connecting approximately 2.5 lakh Sarpanchs across India.

“It brings me immense joy to see the focus on empowering our grassroots leaders. Assam has a multitude of dedicated female leaders who have been tirelessly contributing to the development of their communities,” Kataria said.

Notably, through the platform, Sarpanchs can spotlight development activities in their villages, learn about best practices and foster connections nationwide.

The Governor also said that the Sarpanch Samvaad initiative would propel the villages of India to the forefront of its growth trajectory.

The launch of the mobile app was graced by over 30 Sarpanchs from across the nation who have been wholeheartedly supporting the initiative from the outset.

It may be mentioned that Quality Council of India, established in 1997 by the Government of India and the Indian industry, is an apex organisation responsible for establishing and operating third-party national accreditation systems, improving quality across sectors and advising the government and other stakeholders on all matters concerning quality.
