The Department of Science, Technology and Waste Management Government of Goa has invited applications from Young Indian Scientists below the age of 35 years for ‘Manohar Parrikar Yuva Scientist Award 2023’. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh and a citation to recognise talent in Science, Technology and Innovation and to promote sustained research productivity. The last date for applying is September 30.

 

Workshop
St. Mary’s College will organise a one day regional workshop on the theme, “Nutrition for All: Together towards a Healthy India” at 10 am, on Saturday, in the College Auditorium.

 

Food fest
The Department of Food Science and Nutrition, College of Community Science, CAU, Tura, on Wednesday, organised a food festival on the theme ‘Healthy Diet for All’ as part of the National Nutrition Month celebration. The message sent across through the festival was that healthy food does not necessarily mean expensive and unpalatable food. Local entrepreneurs, alumni and current students set up stalls to showcase nutritious items at affordable rates. Students from NEHU and ICFAI, Tura campus also attended the festival.
