Shillong, September 20: A special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, has issued a notice to actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife, Aliya Siddiqui.

She is summoned to appear in court on October 7 in a molestation case she filed against the actor and his family.

As per IANS, Judge Ritesh Sachdeva of the POCSO court requested complainant Aliya Siddiqui to present herself in court to respond after the police submitted a final report in the case, exonerating all the accused, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Government counsel Pradeep Balyan confirmed that the police cleared all five accused, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, of any wrongdoing in the molestation case.

The prosecution’s claim states that Nawazuddin’s brother, Minazuddin, allegedly molested a minor family member in 2012, with support from others. An FIR was initially filed in Mumbai by Aliya and later transferred to Budhana police station in 2020.

Following an investigation, the police absolved Nawazuddin, his mother Mehrunisa, and his brothers Fezuddin, Ayazuddin, and Minazuddin of any involvement in the case.
