NONGSTOIN, Sep 20: The KSU Nongstoin Circle on Wednesday urged the Education department to appoint a Mathematics teacher at Sibsing Memorial Government Higher Secondary School at the earliest.
This comes after The Shillong Times carried a news item regarding the absence of a Mathematics teacher in the school.
The KSU also discovered that the Principal of the school, D Hoojon, took charge of the post of DSEO, SDSEO and Joint Director of Education department, which for her is additional burden.
The union has sought a change in the system of assigning charge of positions across government departments.
