SRK thanks Peru for their Jawan love
Shah Rukh Khan’s action-vigilante-thriller film Jawan has been successful not just in India, but also overseas. Jawan has taken even South America by storm as audiences were seen having a ball watching the film in Peru. Thanking the Peruvian audiences for their love, SRK said he was grateful for their love. Sharing a video on ‘X’, SRK wrote: “Thank u Peru!!! Very happy and Grateful seeing all the videos coming from u all. Continue loving #Jawan this way!!”The songs composed by Anirudh Ravichander have been a big success and even audiences in Peru were shown dancing to the songs, imitating the moves and grooving to all the tracks. The Storyteller selected as closing film for Chicago South Asian Film Fest
The upcoming film The Storyteller, directed by Ananth Mahadevan, has been selected as the closing night film for the 14th edition of the Chicago South Asian Film Festival. The film will be screened on September 22. It stars Paresh Rawal, Adil Hussain, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Jayesh More and Revathy, and is based on a short story Golpo Boliye Tarini Khuro by the legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray. Sharing his excitement, Ananth Mahadevan said: “The Storyteller has emerged as a befitting tribute to the master storyteller Satyajit Ray. It gives me immense pride and it’s the most gratifying moment for all of us as our film is selected as a Closing Night Film at the prestigious Chicago South Asian Film Festival.” (IANS)
Nicki Minaj’s husband sentenced
for 120 days house arrest
Rapper Nicki Minaj, often referred to as the ‘rap queen’ is in a spot of trouble as her husband Kenneth Petty has been given a 120-day house arrest sentence after being convicted of threatening rapper Offset. In a court order filed on September 20 in the Central District of California, Petty was ordered to undertake home monitoring after he “was recorded on video making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.” The specific individual mentioned in the order is Offset, and the clips relate to a series of messages Petty aimed at the rapper.
