Shillong, September 24: In a recent evaluation by the prominent German automotive magazine Auto Motor Und Sport, Kia’s EV6 GT claimed the top spot among electric vehicle models. This achievement placed it ahead of Ford Motor’s Mustang Mach-E SUV, as announced by Hyundai Motor Group on Sunday.

As per IANS, Hyundai Motor’s independent Genesis brand also made a strong showing, with its GV60 SUV securing the second position in this competitive assessment. The Ford Mustang Mach-E rounded out the top three in the rankings, according to the group’s official statement.

Auto Motor Und Sport, one of Germany’s top three automotive magazines, alongside Auto Bild and Auto Zeitung, conducted this evaluation.

The EV6 GT received high marks in various categories, including handling, driving performance, fast charging capabilities, reasonable pricing, and competitive warranty programs. Meanwhile, the GV60 was recognized for its interior space and powertrain attributes.

Kia’s EV6 GT, considered the brand’s most potent production vehicle to date, boasts impressive features such as acceleration from zero to 100 kph in just 3.5 seconds, a range of over 420 kilometers on a single charge, and an 80 percent charge in just 18 minutes. Both the EV6 GT and the GV60 are built on Hyundai Motor Group’s dedicated EV platform known as E-GMP.

The EV6 GT employs a cutting-edge 77.4 kWh long-range battery pack with 800V fast-charging capabilities. Its design combines sportiness with a distinctive appearance, featuring elements like a dedicated GT grill and bumper, a contoured body, new LED headlights, and rear light clusters. The vehicle’s sporty aesthetics are further enhanced by gloss-neon brake calipers and custom 5-spoke alloy wheels.
