Tura, Sep 27: Based on credible information, West Garo Hills (WGH) police yesterday, Sep 26 arrested one Kamendra Rishi from a public bus while he was in possession of drugs in the town of Tura.
“We received very credible information of drugs being transported following which a team was deputed. The drug dealer was arrested while he was using public transport and 15 orange vials were recovered from his possession. It later tested positive for heroin. The accused has been arrested and booked under appropriate section under NDPS,” informed superintendent of police, WGH, Abraham T Sangma.
The 15 vials contained 1.24 grams of the substance.
