NONGSTOIN, Sep 27: The Nangroi Self Help Group (SHG), Upper New Nongstoin, on Wednesday lodged a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills, Garod LSN Dykes, against the staff of Central Bank of India Nongstoin branch.
Member of Book Keeper (MBK), Nangroi SHG, Iba K Syntiew, told pressmen here that it was difficult to deal with the personnel of Central Bank of India, since the staff and the Branch manager are unwilling to help those in need.
She said that it has been a year since the SHG opened its account with bank, but they are yet to receive the passbook.
Whenever enquired into about the bank passbook, the staff have been found to be giving elusive answers, the SHG member claimed.
She also said that the Bank manager has not allowed them to draw money from the account for almost a year allegedly without citing any reason.
The DC, during the meeting with the SHG members, ensured them that he would look into the matter.
