Umiam café: HC warns govt of contempt

SHILLONG, Sep 28: The High Court of Meghalaya on Thursday put the state government on notice that appropriate steps in contempt will be initiated against its recalcitrant officials for the blatant breach of the subsisting injunction in allowing a cafe to be opened by the Umiam Lake.
The court has directed the Chief Secretary to indicate the names and particulars of the errant officials.
