Shillong, October 2: Rumors of Anushka Sharma’s alleged pregnancy have intensified as news broke that her husband and renowned cricketer, Virat Kohli, flew from Guwahati to Mumbai on Monday.

As per IANS, the rest of the Indian cricket team headed to Thiruvananthapuram for a warm-up game against the Netherlands in the ODI World Cup scheduled for Tuesday.

Virat, the star batsman, reportedly sought leave from the team management due to a ‘personal emergency,’ although the nature of this emergency remains undisclosed.

Virat’s trip to Mumbai has only fueled further speculation surrounding Anushka’s pregnancy, which has been circulating since the weekend. Both Anushka and her cricketer husband have yet to comment on these rumors.

Anushka, who began her Bollywood career with the 2008 film ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ directed by Aditya Chopra and starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan, tied the knot with Virat in December 2017.

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika, on January 11, 2021. Given their strong protective stance regarding their daughter’s privacy and their avoidance of the intrusive camera lenses, it is likely that the couple will remain guarded should there be any truth to the reports of Anushka’s pregnancy.
