Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi’s ‘OMG 2’ set for Netflix release on October 8

Shillong, October 3: The comedy-drama ‘OMG 2,’ starring actors Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, is all set to make its digital debut on Netflix on October 8.

Directed by Amit Rai, ‘OMG 2’ features a talented ensemble cast including Yami Gautam, Pavan Malhotra, Govind Namdev, Arun Govil, and Brijendra Kala, among others.

As per IANS, the film blends humor with thought-provoking themes to deliver an unforgettable cinematic experience and serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2012 movie ‘OMG- Oh My God.’

Akshay Kumar expressed his excitement, saying, “We are thrilled by the enthusiastic reception OMG 2 has received in theaters. This story deserves to travel far and beyond borders. Hope that our labor of love continues to spread joy.”

Presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Cape of Good Films and Wakaoo Films, ‘OMG 2’ is both written and directed by Amit Rai. It is produced by a team that includes Aruna Bhatia, Jyoti Deshpande, Ajit Andhare, Swaroop Paresh Rawal, Hema A. Thakkar, Vipul D. Shah, Ashwin Varde, and Rajesh Bahl.

Ajit Andhare, COO of Viacom18 Studios, commented, “Our sequel has truly elevated the OMG franchise, offering a unique blend of humor and thought-provoking content to audiences.”

‘OMG 2’ will be available for streaming on Netflix starting October 8.

In addition to ‘OMG 2,’ Akshay Kumar has several projects in the pipeline, including a Marathi film titled ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat,’ an untitled remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru,’ ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ ‘Hera Pheri 3,’ ‘Shankara,’ and ‘Singham Again.’

Pankaj Tripathi, on the other hand, was last seen in ‘Fukrey 3’ and has upcoming projects like ‘Main Atal Hoon’ and ‘Stree 2.’
