SHILLONG, Oct 2: A beggar lost his life when he was run over by a recovery truck at Luckier Road near Garikhana Junction on Monday morning. The incident occurred at around 6 am.
The deceased, identified as Rasid Ali of Barpeta in Assam, died on the spot, police said.
Police said the driver fled the scene after the incident. The truck has been seized.
