Union min reviews Aspirational District Programme in Ri-Bhoi

Nongpoh, Oct 3: Union minister of state for communications Devusinh Chauhan chaired a review meeting on Aspirational District Programme at Conference Hall Office, here on Tuesday.
District Deputy Commissioner Arpit Upadhyaya provided presentations on the progress of work carried out in different key indicators, including health and nutrition, education, agriculture-horticulture, veterinary, rural development, and water resources, under the Aspirational District Programme.
Chauhan reminded that the programme was launched in 2018 by the Central government with the aim of developing underdeveloped districts, including Ri-Bhoi.
He appealed to all officials to continue their hard work and dedicated service for the welfare of the people and to fully implement all the central schemes aimed at ensuring sustainable and holistic development for the citizens.
After the review meeting, the minister visited Civil Hospital Nongpoh, Health and Wellness Centre in Umsawnongkharai, Anganwadi Centre, and the Integrated Village Cooperative Society in Umdihar village, among other places.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director General to the Minister of State Sanjeev Sharma, Assistant Director General to the Minister of State Dr. Gaurav Kumar Saini, Ri Bhoi Superintendent of Police Giri Prasad and other district officials from various line departments.
