Dibrugarh, Oct 4: Excitement is building in Dibrugarh as the city prepares to host the inaugural Northeast Half Marathon on October 29, 2023, at the iconic Bogibeel Bridge.
This event is part of a larger series of marathons aimed at promoting sports and empowering athletes in Northeast India.
The Northeast Half Marathon series, which has already seen success with its first installment in Maligaon on February 5, 2023, is a significant initiative for the region’s sporting community. The earlier marathon attracted around 3,000 participants from all corners of India and abroad, with winners receiving prizes worth Rs. 11 lakhs, along with trophies, medals, and certificates.
