Artists perform during the Gitanjali Dance Academy’s 25th anniversary celebration at U Soso Tham auditorium recently. The event witnessed an impressive turnout
of 650 enthusiastic attendees. It was graced by Assistant High Commissioner of
Bangladesh, Guwahati, Ruhul Amin, Cabinet Minister Sanbor Shullai, president
of Gitanjali Dance Academy and Padma Shri, Manas Chaudhuri, and founding director of Gitanjali Dance Academy, Monica Chanda. The evening was a
captivating blend of classical and experimental dances including a staged
performance of Rabindranath Tagore’s Birpurush choreographed by Monica
Chanda showcasing the extraordinary talents of students and performers.
