Govt officials get training on incident response

Baghmara, Oct 7: In view of the upcoming state-level mock exercise, a training was conducted at the DRDA Hall, Baghmara, in South Garo Hills, on ncident response roles and responsibilities for government officials.
The District Disaster Management Officer, P Ch Marak, presented in-depth information on the different roles under Incidents Response Mechanism and stated that this training was basically meant to familiarise the officials on different roles and responsibilities that are being allocated during the period of disaster. He also informed that the objective of operating the IRS was to minimize the loss of life and properties during the time of disaster by strengthening the disaster response mechanism in the district.
Further, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Dr Challang Marak and Tengchi Momin were among those who spoke on the occasion.
