Shillong, October 8: Amid the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict, distressing footage has surfaced depicting fighters from the Palestinian armed group Hamas parading a naked and battered woman’s body through the streets of Israel in the rear of a pickup truck.

As per India Today, videos circulating on social media show a crowd surrounding the Hamas vehicle, with individuals shouting and spitting on the woman’s body.

Initially, Hamas claimed that the deceased was a female Israeli soldier. However, Adi Louk has confirmed that the woman seen in the video is her sister, Shani Louk, a German citizen and a tattoo artist, as reported by the New York Post. Shani Louk’s mother, in a video message, has also identified her daughter and appealed for information regarding her whereabouts.

According to Shani’s first cousin, she went missing after militants took control of an open-air festival on Saturday morning. Tomasina Weintraub-Louk, the victim’s cousin, confirmed Shani’s identity and expressed hope for positive updates.

The music festival attended by Shani was reportedly one of the first sites attacked by Hamas militants. The situation remains deeply concerning, with further updates awaited.

The conflict escalated with a significant attack involving 5,000 rockets fired by Hamas militants on Israel on Saturday morning, followed by militants infiltrating the country. Additionally, there have been reports of foreigners being captured, with seven Nepalis injured in Israel and 17 taken hostage by Hamas militants.
