Shillong, Oct 8: In a Group B clash of the Junior Girls’ National Football Championship (Tier 2) held in Jaipur today, Meghalaya’s winning streak came to a halt as they succumbed to a 3-1 loss against Uttar Pradesh.
This defeat marked the conclusion of Meghalaya’s commendable three-game winning streak, and their hopes now hang in the balance.
Both Uttar Pradesh and Meghalaya currently sit with 9 points each in the group standings.
However, Uttar Pradesh has seized the upper hand with a favorable head-to-head record and goal difference (+20 compared to +18) over Meghalaya.
