Israeli tourist dies after falling ill while eating at restaurant
PUSHKAR,Oct 8: An Israeli tourist died after his health deteriorated while eating at a restaurant in Pushkar in Rajasthan’s Ajmer district on Sunday, police said.Ajmer Rural Circle Officer Manish Badgurjar said Chen Yezekiel (39) was taken to the Pushkar Government Hospital, from where he was referred to the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Hospital in Ajmer.The officer said the Israeli tourist died during treatment at the Ajmer hospital. The body has been kept at the hospital mortuary for post-mortem.The officer said Yezekiel had come to Ajmer on September 11. The Israeli embassy has been informed, he said, adding that the post-mortem will be conducted according to the instructions from the embassy.Information about foreign tourists is being collected from the hotel, he said. MLA receives death threat from ‘gangster’ Goldy Brar
MUMBAI, Oct 8: An unidentified man claiming to be gangster Goldy Brar threatened to kill former minister and Mumbai-based Congress MLA Aslam Shaikh, police said on Sunday.An FIR has been registered and a team has been set up to trace the caller, a police official said.Canada-based Brar is a wanted criminal by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and various states of the country. He is the alleged mastermind in the murder of Punjabi singer Siddhu Moosewala.A call was received by Shaikh’s PA and lawyer Vikram Kapoor on Thursday when the former minister was in the office of the Mumbai civic body, the police official said.The caller identified himself as gangster Goldy Brar and told Shaikh’s PA in Hindi that the MLA would be shot dead in two days and disconnected the call. Police have registered a case under sections 506 and 507 of the Indian Penal Code. (PTI)
